Please note there is about a 2 week delay with orders at present due to demand.
The DevTech Audio ST BOOST is a tone shaping boost guitar effects pedal, inspired by the Pete Cornish ST-2™. The ST BOOST is a multi-stage transistor amplifier with a controlled gain structure, offering high headroom tone correcting capabilities. The ST-2 Cornish original pedal was originally designed for David Gilmour, which he used extensively during the ‘Animals’ and ‘The Wall’ recordings and tours, and also his solo work.
Featuring Volume, Gain, Bass and Treble controls. The EQ section is active with ±18dB Bass and ±14dB Treble - 30 Hz and 3 KHz respectively, with ±15dB Gain on all frequencies.
The ST BOOST is not designed to be an overdrive pedal, though can push the front of an amp naturally into a sweet sustain. The ST BOOST adds depth and warmth to your sound. Used on its own it can correct tonal or signal strength deficiencies. Used with other effects, the ST BOOST can improve the tonal characteristics. At max gain there is a very light overdrive tone which sounds like a tube amp just starting to break up.
The ST BOOSTalso features the Cornish Buffer Preamp with it's superior RFI rejecting capability and Low Impedance output, allowing the use of extended cable runs in bypass mode. The Unity Gain Buffer also prevents "Ghost noise" being audible in Bypass Mode. The ST BOOST features a slide switch inside the unit to turn the bypass buffer off, and engage True Bypass mode.
Example settings
Mid Boost – Bass 30%, Treble 10%, Gain 75%, Volume 75%
Mid Cut – Bass 100%, Treble 75%, Gain 10%, Volume 60%
Shimmering Tone – Bass 60%, Treble 70%, Gain 35%, Volume 90%
Warm Boost – Bass 60%, Treble 60%, Gain 70%, Volume 100%
Features Include:
Volume, Gain, Treble and Bass controls
High quality latching footswitch
Buffer Switch – 2 position slide switch inside enclosure to switch from buffered bypass to true bypass
LED brightness trim inside enclosure
