Shop Powerdriver

Powerdriver

$249.00

Note: Price is listed in Australian Dollars. Multiply by 0.66 for USD and 0.61 for EUR.

Please note there is about a 5 week delay with orders at present due to demand.

The Colorsound Overdriver was one of the very first overdrive pedals to hit the market. The Colorsound Overdriver followed the Powerboost, essentially using the same circuit at 9v for lower headroom, and a few component value changes. It quickly became popular, with Jeff Beck among the many great artists who adopted this pedal.

The DevTech Audio 'Powerdriver' pedal is a recreation of this Overdriver circuit, running at 9 volts. Use it with Drive set low for a boost, or higher for a beautiful vintage overdrive. There is a heap of gain on tap with this pedal, and it easily reaches into fuzz territory.

Inside is a ‘hot’ trim pot, increasing the gain and producing faster breakup to drive.

All quality components used, some vintage, such as Switchcraft, Panasonic, Philips, Vishay and the same transistor type used in the originals (vintage BC109). Carbon resistors and includes a volume potentiometer to tame the huge audio boost, if desired.

Supports an internal 9v battery, or external power source.

Enclosure is 125B, powder coated and UV printed for durability.
